About Breathcraft Lab
Breathcraft Lab is owned and operated by Candice — your breathwork practitioner and guide. Candice is certified in Buteyko, Breathology, and Oxygen Advantage®, and is a NZQA Level 5 qualified and REPs-registered personal trainer. Using this unique combination of expertise, she helps clients restore calm, clarity, and control through structured, personalised breathing practices, supporting long-term health, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
At one point, Candice was just like you — juggling the pressures of modern life while managing ongoing stress, anxiety, and, unknowingly, dysfunctional breathing patterns that exacerbated her health struggles. After trying various medications and conventional treatments with numerous side-effects but without lasting results, she discovered that learning to breathe correctly was the key to managing her health. And now, she’s helping others do the same.
With a Diploma of Science and Technology from Massey University, and a Masters in Technology, Candice approaches breathwork through a scientific lens. Her master’s research explored the role of play in adulthood, showing how self-directed, authentic play supports resilience and equips us with skills essential for adapting to change and thriving under complexity. That same philosophy informs her practice: evidence-based tools that empower clients to manage stress, boost performance, and feel more alive.
At Breathcraft Lab, sessions are tailored to each client’s goals: whether managing stress, improving sleep, boosting energy, supporting respiratory function, or enhancing athletic performance. Combining scientific insight, practical guidance, and empathy, Candice equips clients with tools they can apply in daily life, helping them feel more focused, resilient, and in control of their health and performance.
