Breathe Better. Live Better.

Regain control of your nervous system by mastering your breath.

Improve sleep, reduce stress, and elevate performance with science-backed breathing techniques.

Breathing impacts every system in your body — learn to do it well.

Reduce Snoring & Sleep Apnea

Improved Sleep

Slow, controlled breathing calms the nervous system before bed, improves CO₂ tolerance, and supports deeper, more restorative sleep cycles.

Increased Energy & Focus

Efficient breathing improves oxygen delivery and stabilises energy levels, supporting sustained focus and mental clarity.

Reduce Stress & Anxiety

Targeted breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering cortisol levels and helping shift your body out of fight-or-flight mode.

Enhance Athletic Performance

Breath training improves oxygen efficiency, CO₂ tolerance, and recovery, allowing you to perform harder and recover faster.

Support Asthma & Respiratory Distress

Nasal and diaphragmatic breathing strengthens lung function, improves airway stability, and reduces dysfunctional breathing patterns.

Reduce Snoring & Sleep Apnea

Breathing techniques encourage nasal breathing and better airway control, helping minimise collapse and improve overnight oxygenation.

How it Works

Breathcraft Lab delivers structured, assessment-led breath retraining in 1:1 and group formats.

Clients receive structured breath retraining using science-based methods, including Buteyko, Breathology, Oxygen Advantage® and breathing-informed personal training. Each plan is personalised to individual physiology, symptoms, and performance goals.

Breath retraining works by improving carbon dioxide tolerance, oxygen efficiency, and nervous system regulation. By restoring functional breathing patterns, we address the root mechanisms behind poor sleep, chronic stress, low energy, and reduced performance.

Buteyko breathing works by normalising carbon dioxide levels and restoring slow, nasal, and diaphragmatic breathing patterns, which improves oxygen delivery, calms the nervous system, and supports optimal organ function. Developed in the 1950s by doctor Konstantin Buteyko, it is a clinically researched method for correcting dysfunctional breathing patterns. By addressing the root causes of over-breathing, it reduces stress on the body, supports deeper and more restorative sleep, and improves respiratory efficiency. Suitable for all ages, it benefits anyone experiencing stress, poor sleep, or asthma-related symptoms, and supports overall energy, focus, and wellbeing.

Breathology strengthens respiratory muscles, improves breath control, and trains the nervous system to respond efficiently to stress, enhancing both mental and physical resilience. Created in the early 2000s by 4x Freediving World Champion Stig Severinsen, it blends modern science with ancient breathwork traditions and relaxation techniques. The method trains controlled breath-holds, strengthens diaphragmatic function, and improves oxygen efficiency, supporting focus, recovery, and performance under pressure. Suitable for all ages and abilities, it helps manage stress, improve concentration, and develop peak performance while supporting long-term health and resilience.

Oxygen Advantage® enhances oxygen utilisation, trains CO₂ tolerance, and improves respiratory efficiency, which supports endurance, recovery, and mental clarity. Developed in the 2000s by Patrick McKeown, it is a structured, performance-oriented system built on the pillars of body, mind, and sport. By retraining functional breathing patterns and improving the body’s response to stress, it helps optimise athletic performance, energy levels, and cognitive focus. Particularly effective for athletes, high performers, and anyone looking to sustain energy and mental clarity, it also supports long-term respiratory health and resilience.

Breathing-Informed Personal Training integrates functional breathing with exercise, guided by a NZQA Level 5 REPs-registered personal trainer, to help clients move efficiently and recover faster from workouts and daily physical strain. Training emphasises controlled breathing alongside functional movement to improve stability, coordination, and resilience. The exercises are designed to support the nervous system and are accessible to those with mobility challenges, injuries, or limited fitness experience. This approach enhances performance, reduces injury risk, and promotes wellbeing. Suitable for all fitness levels, it helps clients move smarter, regain energy, and feel better from the inside out.

About Breathcraft Lab

Breathcraft Lab is led by Candice, your breathwork practitioner and guide. After years of struggling with chronic stress and anxiety, she discovered that many of her health challenges stemmed from the way she was breathing. Through structured, personalised breath retraining, she regained calm, clarity, and control — and now helps others do the same.

Candice is qualified in Buteyko, Breathology, and Oxygen Advantage® breathwork methods, and is also a NZQA Level 5 qualified and REPs-registered personal trainer.

Combining personal experience with evidence-based methods, Candice offers a warm, practical approach that equips clients with tools they can use for life. Breathcraft Lab was created to make breathwork accessible, empowering, and results-driven, helping clients feel calmer, more focused, and more in control of their health and performance.

What Clients Say

I used to have an overactive mind and couldn’t switch off (for decades). Working with Candice at Breathcraft Lab helped me realise how much my breathing was keeping my nervous system on edge. Now I have simple tools I can use anytime. I’m able to find calm more easily and make the world go quiet when I need to.
